1 Execution site(s)
According to Anatoly B. (Witness N°656, interviewed in Staroselye, on June 23, 2013), there weren’t any Jews living in the village before the war.
According to Yahad’s investigation, the Germans rounded up the Jews from Staroselie near the embankment, along with the local population. The Jews were then selected by the mayor and received the order to cross this embankment. The Jews were forced into a column in the direction of a forest near the village of Gvaltovnik, where they would be shot. According to a Soviet memorial, 60 people were shot at this site.
