Witnesses interviewed: 3. (N°5, 6, 7). Nikolay Mikhailovitch S. (N°5): "With the arrival of the Germans, the Jews of the village were forced to relocate into two houses that were surrounded by barbed wire. I could see my friend through the windows."

Soviet archives

RG-22.002M/7021-92/210. "At the end of the month of October 1941, all the Jews of Vetrino were brought together into three houses on Tchkalov street. They were a total of 40. All the houses were surrounded by barbed wire and guarded by the police. The inhabitants of Vetrino were not allowed to go there, or else they would have been shot."
