Witness interview

Raisa T.evokes: "After the shooting, the Germans gave the clothes to the policemen who exchanged them to the local people for food. Local women came next to the Gestapo building in order to exchange eggs, milk and butter for clothes. They didn’t enter the building because they bartered in a little room next to the Gestapo building." (Witness N°325, interviewed in Belaya Glina, on June 12, 2012).

Soviet archives

"During the occupation I was living in a little house about 3km from the village near ravine number 2. Some days after the invasion of Belaya Glina, at the beginning of August, I saw an enclosed black truck pass by several times. It was always driven in the direction of ravine number 2. After some minutes, I heard bursts of machine-gun fire." (RG-22.002M/7021-16/464-465)
