1 Execution site(s)
Antonina C. recalls: "Germans simply drove out the Jews from their homes. They took them in a kind of ditch, where something had to construct, and shot them at the edge of this one." (Witness N°120, interviewed in Dobrushyne on December 29, 2004).
During the war, there was a Jewish kolkhoz in Dobrushyne called “Imieni Molotov” created in 1930. The Jewish and non-Jewish children went to the same school. The Germans occupied the village in October 1941.
According to Yahad’s witness, Antonina C. (N°120), the Jews were shot in 1942. The Germans took them from their homes in order to take them to a pit. This big execution took place to the location of a shop and lasted only one day. Antonina C. remembered that her brother’s Jewish friend was shot because he tried to escape. The other Jews who tried to escape were shot in the cemetery.
