Ivan G (N°49):“I saw the camp and I went into it with my grandmother to bring pumpkins to the Soviet prisoners in 1941 and to German prisoners in 1944. There were thousands of Soviet soldiers. They lived out in the open. There weren’t any buildings. I saw corpses brought to the grave.”

“When the German and Romanian bandits arrived in Falesti on July 3th, 1941, they began to plunder the cooperatives and the Jews’ properties. The Jewish population was shot with no mercy. They were grabbed in the streets, at the end of the town, and were shot just because they were Jewish.”
