Historical note

There were around 490 Jews in the village at the end of the 19th century. The majority of the Jews were artisans or traders. Before the war, there were 40 Jewish families in the village. The German occupation began on August 10, 1941.

Holocaust by bullets in figures

During the fall of 1941, these 40 Jewish families were shot. According to the historian, Martin Dean, these families were shot in the Jewish cemetery or near a wood.
