Ksenia B. evokes : "The girls of the village made believe that they had the typhoid, and so got dirty black’s face to frighten the Germans and prevent the rapes." (Witness N°1614 interviewed in November, 2012)
Staromlynivka is a village west of Donetsk. Before the war, there were just a few Jewish families living there. The village was under German occupation between 1941 and 1943.
The Jews of the village were gathered in the German Gendarmerie station, alongside with Jews from surrounding villages, before being shot in a field outside the village.
