"In September 1941, four Germans from Kalinkovichi came to the village. One of them was wearing a gendarme's uniform. Assisted by the starost of the village, they rounded up the entire Jewish population of the village and took them, at gunpoint, towards the edge of a forest near the village, where they were shot. About 18 Soviet citizens, completely innocent, elderly and children, died. The German executioners shot them in the back, in the nape of the neck, using explosive bullets. Bodies fell in the pit in a mess. People were shot one by one. After the shooting, the Germans plundered the houses of the Jews."
