Eugenija S.: "Lithuanian partisans registered all the Jews and arrested them in their homes. Everybody knew each other, they knew how many children Jews had had, they couldn’t hide.
Y.U.: What happened to all the Jewish furniture and the victims’ other belongings?
Eugenija: "They just left it behind. Other people moved into their houses. Some valuables were sold in the barn. In one of the homes they set up the office of local administration. There was a barn in the village and they took the Jewish valuables there and sold them. It took about a month to sell it all. Local administration officers might have taken some of the belongings."
