Before the war, there was no synagogue and all Jewish ceremonies took place at the Rabbi’s house. The town was occupied by Germans in early July 1941.
During the war, Klymets was situated at the border between Hungary and Ukraine. According to the Yahad field research approximately 12 Jews were murdered by the Germans in the summer of 1942.
