Witness interview

Maria G. : "The Jews were shot by the Romanians near a ditch. They were shot from behind, and they were standing shoulder to shoulder. Then their bodies were transported in a sled outside of the village. It was horrible, the blood flowed on the snow. Bodies were buried in a pit which had been dug the day before." (Witness N°1043 interviewed in August, 2010)

Historical note

Novoselivka is a small village south of Vinnytsia. It was part of Transnistria, under Romanian occupation between 1941 and 1944.

Holocaust by bullets in figures

Jews from inner Romania were imprisoned in stables, then shot during winter time by the Romanian soldiers in a trench along the road of the village. Then their corpses were buried in a field.
